Singapore is one of the most popular travel destinations in Southeast Asia. Singapore is a blend of high technology and many cultures. The territory with an area of only 710 square km is essentially a city-state, as all its activities can be seen within a city. The trip to Singapore can start from the famous Changi Airport. The 7-storey high fountain in the middle of the four walls is one of the attractions of Changi Airport. The half-fish, half-lion "Merlion" statue established Singapore as the "City of Lion" proper. The 28 feet tall statue is located near the "Marina Bay" in the city center. Another one of the most popular tourist destinations in Singapore is the "Gardens by the Bay". There are few such rich examples of horticulture in the world. About 1 lakh 80 thousand species of plants are preserved in this large garden. Besides, Sentosa Island, South Ridge area, Botanical Garden etc. are among the places to visit.

Fooding: 

Singapore can be said to be a paradise for foodies. Singaporean cuisine is a blend of Malaysian, Chinese, Indonesian, Indian and Western influences. Famous dishes include "Haianese Chicken". The dish is made with plainly boiled chicken and spicy rice. The dish is more popular for the accompanying spicy sauce. Next is the "chilli crab". Crab is roasted and mixed with broth made from tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. The food is very popular and delicious.

"Laksa" is another delicious dish with Chinese and Malaysian influences. Rice noodles are cooked in a broth made from coconut milk and spices. It is usually eaten with eggs, prawns, fish or meat. Another popular term among noodles is "Hokkien prawn mee". "Sambal" is usually eaten with it. Grilled meat called "sate" is also a delicacy in Singapore.

There are budget shopping malls in Singapore as well as luxurious malls where only brands are available.One such place is the shopping mall at Marina Bay Sands. Here are the retail shops of all the world's best brands. The price is sky high. So you can visit the mall for sightseeing instead of shopping. There are many things to entertain tourists in this mall.

Budget shopping malls are mainly located in and around Little India. Notable among these is Lucky Plaza on Orchard Road. You can get chocolates and souvenirs at the cheapest prices in the store called "Fire Sale Shop". The price of clothes here is very low. There is also Mustafa Mart. Everything at Mustafa Mart is reasonably priced.

There is also Pagoda Street in Chinatown. Here too you will find everything useful at a low price. On one side of the street of Bugis Street Market you will see food shops on the other side of clothes. You can visit the shops while eating.

Tips to travel Singapore:

  • Do not stand on the right side when riding the escalator. The right side is reserved for those in a hurry. Stand to the left if you are not in a hurry.
  • Do not sit on reserved seats in public transport (bus or MRT).
  • Don't forget to tap the card (Singapore Tourist Pass) when entering and exiting the MRT. Otherwise a fine of 50 Singapore dollars will be charged.
  • Do not eat or drink anything on the MRT or bus. Otherwise, a fine of 500 Singapore dollars will be charged.
  • Chewing gum and smoking in public places are prohibited in Singapore. Otherwise, a fine of 1000 Singapore dollars will be charged.
  • Unnecessarily damaging or vandalizing public property will attract a fine of S$2,000.
  • Littering is prohibited. Singapore is a very clean country. A fine of 1,000 Singapore dollars will be imposed for littering.
